Trust & Verification, explained

Every listing shows badges that tell you how much is known about a seller. Here is exactly what each badge means and how sellers earn and improve them.

Trust tiers

Each seller has a trust score from 0 to 100. The score is turned into one of four tiers, shown as a badge such as "Bronze". The tier is a quick summary — the higher the score, the higher the tier.

Bronze

Score range: Below 40

Entry level. Shown for newer sellers or those who have not yet built up responses, reviews and completed sales.

Silver

Score range: 40 to 59

An established seller with a solid track record on responsiveness, reviews and activity.

Gold

Score range: 60 to 79

A top-rated seller with a strong, consistent reputation across the trust factors.

Platinum

Score range: 80 and above

The highest tier. Reserved for sellers with excellent performance across every trust factor.

How the trust score is calculated

The trust score is a weighted average of six factors. Some factors count for more than others — the percentage shows how much each one contributes to the total score.

Response rate

20%

The share of buyer conversations the seller has replied to.

Response time

20%

How quickly the seller replies to the first message in a conversation. Faster replies score higher.

Verified documents

20%

How many identity and business documents the seller has had approved (see document verification below).

Review rating

20%

The average star rating buyers have left for the seller.

Account age

10%

How long the seller has been a member, reaching full marks after one year.

Completed sales

10%

The number of listings the seller has marked as sold, reaching full marks at twenty sales.

How sellers move up a tier

A seller raises their tier by improving the six factors above. There is nothing to buy — the score reflects real activity on the platform. Practical steps include:

  • Reply to every buyer enquiry, and reply quickly.
  • Complete document verification to earn the verified-documents share of the score.
  • Deliver a good experience so buyers leave strong reviews.
  • Keep listings up to date and mark deals as sold when they close.
  • Stay active — account age and completed sales build up over time.

Document verification

Separately from the trust score, sellers can verify who they are by submitting documents. These are free, document-based checks. Each level adds the documents of the level before it, and a matching badge appears on the seller's profile and listings.

Document verification is free. It is based on the documents a seller provides.
